Adoption fees are required for all of our cats and kittens and enable the branch to continue our vital work.
We have lots of cats and kittens needing new loving homes. All cats are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are treated for fleas, wormed and undergo a vet health check before they are homed. Please contact us if you feel that you can offer one of our cats a home. You will be asked to participate in a home visit which is an opportunity for you to ensure that you adopt the cat which is right for you. Cats Protection asks adopters for a fee when rehoming a cat or kitten. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a cat from us.
For enquiries regarding adoptions please phone 01226 781998 or 07932 460819 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
We ask that you do not call at unsociable hours. Thank you.
When viewing a cat please remember you are in someones home so be prompt, don't stay too long and ensure children are on their best behaviour.
These visits are an opportunity for us to ensure that you are adopting the right sort of cat for your particular household. For instance, shy or nervous cats may not be suited to families with small children or other pets. It doesn't take long and you will be contacted very soon afterwards with all the details of the cats and kittens we have available at the time. Please remember we are not there to judge the size or cleanliness of your home just the level of commitment you are prepared to give your new family member.
We also have feral and semi-feral cats needing new homes such as stables, farms and small holdings. They will be neutered, micro-chipped, ear-tipped, Vet health checked and treated for fleas and worms. You will be asked to participate in a similar sort of home-visit to ensure that feral cats are suitable for the situation being offered.
Please contact us if you feel you can give feral cats a home.
Some of the cats in our care may not yet be on our website as they may be waiting for neutering.
